I realised lately that much of my photography in the past few months has been paid, event photography, and that's all I've been posting. I've been moving away from the photoblogging, the thing I originally loved and the thing that got me into photography, and I need to get back into that mindset of shooting for me, not for anyone else.

I am back, after not only a long absence from posting, but an even longer absence from regular posting! I've been regular on Flickr (flickr.com/photos/epicwelshman) and even on my blog (see link at top right), but I've been conspicuously absent from here.

Nonetheless, here I am.

I had the opportunity to shoot the 2010 Star Westerm Hemisphere Sailing, and it was a blast! It was my first time shooting on water, and while it was a challenge with the rocking of the boat, it was also a whole lot of fun!

Flipper Beach, where the movie "Flipper" was filmed back in the 1990's. All that remains of the filming location is a few support poles from the pier that used to be there and the foundations of Paul Hogan's house.

On a side note, I have a TON of photos to upload. I have some from the film festival, from a wedding I shot and more like this one. All those should be coming soon!
